About our company :

Green Leaves is a family-run business based in Syria's agricultural heartland, dedicated to the processing and export of pulses and spices.

Based in Aleppo, Syria — in the heart of the Fertile Crescent — our operations are based in one of the most fertile and agriculturally active regions in the Middle East. We focus on the production of premium-quality red and yellow lentils (whole and split), cumin, coriander, black seeds (Nigella), and anise.

Established to serve both local and international markets, Green Leaves quickly became one of Syria’s leading agri-processing businesses. The factory was built in 2008 and operated successfully for two years before the conflict escalated. Strategically located along the Aleppo–Damascus highway, the facility offered direct access to surrounding farming regions, allowing us to source raw materials locally, maintain quality control, and build lasting partnerships with producers and traders.

With a strong foundation built on quality, efficiency, and community ties, Green Leaves remains committed to restoring its place in the regional and global supply chain.

OVERVIEW:

When launched, Green Leaves operated the largest lentil and seed processing facility in Syria. Built across multiple floors to enable sequential cleaning, grinding, and sorting, the factory featured a vertical processing flow that maximized efficiency while minimizing handling.

Our production infrastructure included:
- Lentil processing line: 80–100 tons per day
- Sieving and screening line (for cumin, coriander, anise, and other seeds): 40–50 tons per day
- Bühler Sortex optical sorting machine (UK): 3–5 tons per hour — used for lentils, rice, and grains
- Concrete silos for raw material storage, providing temperature stability and long-term durability
- Onsite weighbridge for truck weighing, ensuring precision in all incoming and outgoing shipments

The facility was designed with scalability in mind, incorporating traceability systems and quality safeguards to meet international hygiene and food safety standards.
